Taco 4900 Series Magnetic Dirt Separators enhance system longevity and efficiency by extracting ferrous material and other detrimental loose particles from closed-loop hydronic heating systems. They incorporate a powerful, maintenance-free magnetic ring and a convenient blow-down valve for efficient system upkeep. The 4900 Series Magnetic Dirt Separator comes with either Sweat or NPT connections and is available in sizes from 3/4" to 2". This ensures longer system life and superior performance.
4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separators
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separators enhance system efficiency and longevity by removing air, dirt, and other impurities. Preventing issues like reduced heat transfer, efficiency loss, pipe corrosion, pump damage, and noise mitigates unnecessary energy consumption, saving money. The separators use patented PALL ring technology and an optional switchable on/off magnet to remove microbubbles as tiny as 18 x 10 -6 meters and contaminants such as magnetite, sand, dirt, and rust.
Leveraging the PALL ring design, the 4900 Series employs coalescence to gather and combine microbubbles, which are then vented out through the integral vent mechanism on the vessel's top. The PALL rings halt the momentum of dirt particles, allowing them to drop to the vessel's bottom and be expelled via the integral full port blow-down valve. The optional on/off magnet attracts black iron oxide and magnetite with its high-powered neodymium magnet assembly. This unique feature facilitates easy maintenance by reducing the time and effort required to collect and flush out magnetite from the system, making these separators especially beneficial for systems with variable speed, ECM, and constant flow needs.
The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator also offers third-party independent testing agency results, instilling confidence in the 4900 models' performance. The Taco 4900 Series Tanks are designed and built according to the ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 requirements, ensuring a high-quality product. All manufacturing is done in-house, further guaranteeing a high standard of quality. A computerized product selection tool assists in choosing the Air, Air/Dirt, or Air & Magnetic Dirt Separator best suited for your specific application needs.
